The Determination of Morpho-Agronomic Features in M3 Generations of Lentil Genotypes Induced to Different Gamma Irradiation Doses
Öz
Different gamma ray doses were applied to M3 generation four green lentil varieties, and seed yield per plant was measured. In terms of yield items, this study examined divided plots in a coin-block trial pattern, in triplicate, in 2020 in Kırşehir under ecological conditions. Green lentil varieties were used in the main plots in the research (Bozok, Gümrah, Meyveci, 2000; Sultan). Different gamma-ray doses have been applied to the subplots (Control, 100, 200, and 300 Gy). In the research, 50% flowering time, 50% pod-setting time, plant height, first pod height, pod number per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed yield per plant, and thousand seed weight were examined as phenological and agronomic features. As a result of the research carried out on the characters studied, different doses of gamma rays and their effect on green lentil varieties it was found to be statistically significant. Among the variables, 50% flowering time, 50% pod-setting time, plant height, first pod height, and thousand-seed weight were found to be important or very important based on the obtained values. Despite the different gamma ray doses, plant height, first pod height, pod number per plant, number of seeds per plant, and seed yield, statistically significant or very significant differences were identified. When evaluated in terms of seed yields per plant, different gamma ray doses resulted in grain yields per plant ranging from 1.168 to 1.464 g plant-1. In terms of green lentil varieties, grain yields per plant ranged from 1.193-1.510 g plant-1, while the highest grain yield per plant was Sultan of the variety, and the lowest was Bozok of the variety.
