Muḥammad ibn
Abī Bakr al-Maraʿshī, who found fame under the name "Sājaqlīzādah",
was the son of Abū Bakr Efendī, one of the Imams of Maras. He received his
first education from his father and took lessons from Mehmed Efendi, author of
Tefsīr-i Tibyān, and Hamza Efendi, who is from Darende. He had been in Damascus
for a while, where he studied from Abdulghani al-Nablūsī and received an
invention
(ʼijāza) from him. Later on, he progressed
in intellectual and transport sciences, and he trained both students and wrote
many books. Among his works stand out the book of “Risālat al-Surūr wa-al-faraḥ”,which
discusses the worldly and otherworldly situations of the mother and father of the Prophet (peace be
upon him).
İn
his book, he tried to interpret the narrations in which have enounced that
Prophet's parents have been on fire, applying the theology (ʻilm al-Kalām)
in this endeavour, comparing the views of the Ash'arî and Mâturîdî sects on
faith and blasphemy. The author analyzes the stories that come from the opinion
he has defended in response to the principles of hadith procedure from time to
time. Sājaqlīzādah either interprets the narratives or says that the deduction
of the descriptions cannot be possible for some reason. We will try to analyze
the views of Saçaklızâde on this issue, in addition to examining the pictures in
the treatise in our study, especially touching on the interpretations made in
the narratives before and after the Suyûtî and the differences of understanding
that changed over time.
