The relations among seedling measurements and the inheritance of seedling growth of cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L., in a controlled environment were studied using a llne*tester cross of five parents.
According to the results of this research; the ratio of general combining abilty to specific combining abilty showed that all characters except germination rate 1n cool germination were influenced by non-additive gene efffect. Correlation coefficents among the characters and determined significant correlation between radicle germination and root/hipocoti1 rate in medium.
