Fungal Plasmidler ve Fonkslyonları

Öz

Bu derlemede funguslarda doğal olarak bulunan plasmldler tartışılmıştır. Saccharomyces cerevisiae dışında genelde bulunan fungal plasmidlerin mitokondri orijinli ve sirküler yapıda olduğu görülmüştür. Bununla beraber bazı lineer plasmidlerde bulunmuştur. Bu plasmidlerin çoğunun fonksiyonları bilinmemektedir. Ancak Neurospora ve Podospora bulunan plasmidlerin fungusun yaşlanmasında rolü olduğu açıklanmıştır. Bunun dışında fungal plasmidlerin patojenisite faktörleri olmadıkları belirlenmiştir.

Fungal Plasmids and Their Function

Öz

The majority of fungal plasmids are associated with mitochondrion. However, plasmid found in Saccharomyces cerevisiae is associated with nucleus. The majority of plasmids consist of circular DNA: lineer plasmids are in the minority. The function of fungal plasmids can be investigated by using plasmid curing, heterokaryon formation and protoplast fusion. Podospora anserina and Neurospora have plasmids associated with ageing process. However, most fungal plasmids studied do not have pathogenic properties.
