Öz
Drip irrigation offers the oppurtunity for precise application of fertilizers to the soil. Because roots develop extensivly in a restiricted volume of soil wetted by drip Irrigation. Application of fertilizers through the irrigation system can effectivly place nutrient in root zone in which roots are of highest concentration. At the same time this kind of fertilizer application prevent nutrient loss, and reduces energy and equipment costs. This type fertilizer application systems snould be designed to prevent clogging of the system by precipitated compounds.

Damla sulama yöntemi toprağa tam bir gübreleme uygulama olanağı sağlar, çünkü damlatıcılarla ıslatılan sınırlı alanda kök gelişimi oldukça yoğundur. Sistemle uygulanan bitki besin maddeleri kök dağılımının yüksek olduğu bu bölgede depolanabilir. Aynı zamanda bu şekildeki gübre uygulamaları bitki besin maddeleri kaybını önler, işçiliği ve enerji kullanımını azaltır. Bütün gübre uygulama sistemleri aşırı gübre uygulamalarını çökelti ve tortulanma ile sistemin tıkanmasını önleyecek biçimde planlanmalıdır.
