Nuclear Medicine Approach to Stress Fracture

Öz

Stress fracture is a common sports injury. It is result of
recurrent strain to normal bone, generally. The diagnosis of stress fracture is
important in terms of patient management.Three phase bone scintigraphy is a
very sensitive method  in the diagnosis
of the stress fracture. Bone SPECT, SPECT/CT,
PET/CT, PET/MR imaging modalities are other radionuclide
imaging techniques which are helpful 
in the diagnosis of stress fracture. We aimed to describe the approach
of the nuclear medicine in the diagnosis of stress fracture in this article.

Stres Fraktürüne Nükleer Tıp Yaklaşımı

Öz

Stres fraktürü, sık görülen bir spor yaralanmasıdır. Genellikle
normal kemiğe tekrarlayan zorlamalar sonucu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Stres
fraktürünün tanısını koymak hasta yönetimi açısından önemlidir. Üç fazlı kemik
sintigrafisi stres fraktürü tanısını koymada çok duyarlı bir yöntemdir. Kemik
SPECT, SPECT/BT, PET/BT, PET/MR görüntüleme yöntemleri stres fraktürü tanısını
koymada yardımcı diğer radyonüklid görüntüleme yöntemleridir. Biz bu yazıda
stres fraktürü tanısında nükleer tıp yaklaşımını anlatmayı amaçladık.
