Öz

Bir nesne veya
davranışa aşırı düşkünlük olarak tanımlanan bağımlılık kavramı genellikle
sigara, alkol, uyuşturucu gibi maddelerin kullanımı ile ilişkili olarak
değerlendirilmektedir. Ancak son yıllarda kumar, egzersiz, yeme, uyuma gibi
bazı davranışların da bağımlılık yaptığı savunulmaktadır. Benzer durum
bilgisayar, internet, çevrimiçi oyun, tablet, mobil telefon gibi teknolojik
cihazlar ve uygulamalar için de geçerlidir. Bu teknolojilerin aşırı
kullanımları kişilerde teknoloji bağımlılığına yol açabilmektedir.



Bilgisayar,
internet ve akıllı telefonlar günlük yaşamın önemli bir parçası haline
gelmiştir.
“We
Are Social” 2017 “İnternet ve Sosyal Medya Kullanıcı İstatistikleri” raporuna
göre dünya nüfusunun %50’si internet, %37’si aktif
sosyal medya ve %66’sı akıllı telefon kullanıcısıdır. Bu durum Türkiye’de de
benzerlik göstermektedir. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu 2016 yılı verilerine göre
Türkiye nüfusunun %61’i internet kullanmakta ve internet kullanım amaçları
arasında sosyal medya ilk sırada yer almaktadır. Ayrıca Türkiye’de hanelerin
%96’sında cep telefonu bulunmaktadır.



Ergenlik döneminde
görülen risk alma ve heyecan arama davranışları, ergenin bağımlılıklara
yatkınlığını arttırmaktadır. İnternet ve sosyal medya gibi teknolojilerin
kullanımı ergenler arasında yetişkinlerden daha yaygındır. Ergenlik dönemi
internet bağımlılığı, sosyal medya bağımlılığı, dijital oyun bağımlılığı ve
akıllı telefon bağımlılığı gibi teknolojik bağımlılıklar açısından kritik bir
dönem olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Dünyada yapılan çalışmalarda ergenlik
dönemindeki teknoloji bağımlılığının %4,2 ile %21 arasında, ülkemizde yapılan
araştırmalarda ise %2,33 ile %14 arasında değiştiği bildirilmektedir.



Ergenlik
kimlik ve kişilik gelişimi açısından önemli bir dönemdir. Ergenler bir grubun
üyesi olma ihtiyacı, yalnızlaşma riski, depresif eğilimlerin artması, yüzyıl
eğilimi v.b gibi durumlar göz önüne alındığında teknoloji bağımlılığı açısından
risk altında olabilirler. Bu nedenle bu derlemede ergenlerde teknoloji
bağımlılığı, tarihsel gelişim süreci, teknoloji bağımlılığı için risk
faktörleri ve ruhsal hastalıklarla ilişkisi, teknoloji bağımlılığının
değerlendirilmesi, teknoloji bağımlılığını önleme ve müdahale çalışmaları ele
alınacaktır.
