بديع الزمان سعيد النورسي ومفهوم الجهاد في العصر الحديث Jihad in the Modern Age: Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s Interpretation Sukran Vahide

Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s intention in formulating jihad in terms of jihad of
the word or moral jihad (mânevî jihad) and positive action was in order to combat
what he considered to pose the greatest threat to Islam and indeed to humanity
in the twentieth century, materialist philosophy and scientism, and by
renewing belief and making the religion of Islam relevant and meaningful to the
mass of believers, and particularly those who had been exposed to scientistic
currents, to lay the foundations for a genuine renewal and reconstruction of the
Islamic world and re-establishment of Islamic civilization.
The struggle between truth and falsehood in the modern age being an ideological
and cultural struggle rather than one of force, “the weapons” of Bediuzzaman’s
jihad of the word were logical proofs of the truths of belief, reasoned
argument, and persuasion, which on the hand “executed with the sword of the
Qur’an, nature and causality” (the bases of materialist philosophy) and dispelled
the doubts they caused, and on the other, gained for a person “certain, affirmative
belief.” These weapons were contained in his collected works, called the
Risale-i Nur. Directly inspired by the Qur’an and reflecting its effulgence, the
Risale-i Nur thus answers the needs of Muslims in the present age, and provides
the base to develop true taqwa and Islamic morality.
Such belief is also the basis of the second component of Bediuzzaman’s jihad,
positive action, the most important aim of which is to combat the moral
and spiritual corruption of atheistic materialism. Just as such currents conduct
ideological warfare, so too their aim is to corrupt, divide, and produce anarchy,
so ultimately to destabilize and destroy the Muslim countries. Bediuzzaman therefore
considered the prime duty of the Risale-i Nur students, in addition to the
saving and strengthening of belief, to be the maintenance of public order and
security, and to work for the unity and solidarity of society.

أراد بديع الزمان سعيد النورسي، من خلال صياغته للجهاد في إطار جهاد الكلمة
أو الجهاد الأخلاقي والمعنوي، والعمل الإيجابي، أن يواجه الفلسفة المادية العلموية،
التي اعتبرها النورسي أكبر تهديد للإسلام، بل للبشرية في القرن العشرين. كما سعى
أيضا لتجديد الإيمان، وإحياء الدين الإسلامي شعورا وتطبيقا بين جموع المؤمنين،
وخاصة أولئك الذين كانوا عرضة للتيارات العلمية، وذلك من أجل وضع الأسس
الحقيقية لتجديد وإعادة بناء العالم الإسلامي وإعادة إنشاء الحضارة الإسلامية.
وفي ظل ما يميز الصراع بين الحق والباطل في العصر الحديث في كونه صراعا
ايديولوجيا ثقافيا بدلا من كونه صراع قوة، فقد تمثلت ”أسلحة“ بديع الزمان، في
جهاد الكلمة، في إظهار البراهين المنطقية لحقائق الإيمان، وإقامة الحجج العقلية،
والإقناع. نجحت هذه الأسلحة، من جهة، أن ”تقوض بحد سيف القرآن، الطبيعة
والسببية“ أسس الفلسفة المادية، وتبدد الشكوك التي سببتها. ومن جهة أخرى، أمدت
الفرد بإيمان مؤكد ويقيني. وقد وردت هذه الأسلحة في أعماله التي تم جمعها،
وسميت رسائل النور. هذه الرسائل مستوحاة مباشرة من القرآن الكريم وتعكس تألقه.
وهكذا فرسائل النور تلبي احتياجات المسلمين في العصر الحاضر، وتوفر قاعدة
لتطوير التقوى الحقيقية والأخلاق الإسلامية.
ويشكل هذا الاعتقاد أساس العنصر الثاني من الجهاد عند بديع الزمان، وهو العمل
الإيجابي، والهدف الأهم هنا هو مكافحة الفساد الأخلاقي والروحي الذي تسببه
المادية الإلحادية. وكما تخوض تلك التيارات حربا أيديولوجية تهدف إلى إغراق بلاد
المسلمين في حالة من الفوضى، تؤدي في نهاية المطاف إلى زعزعة استقرارها
وتقسيمها بل وتدميرها، فقد رأى بديع الزمان أن الواجب الأول والرئيس لطلاب
رسائل النور هو الحفاظ على الأمن والنظام العام، والعمل من أجل وحدة وتضامن
المجتمع، بالإضافة إلى الحفاظ على الإيمان وتقويته في النفوس.
