The importance of global logistics, which has a great importance in international trade, has increased with the development of trade between countries and globalization. Despite the great contribution of technological systems in the management and administration of ships, the main control and responsibility is provided by people. For this reason, the presence of qualified, well-equipped personnel in the sector is an important need and the training of ship people plays a key role in meeting this need. In this research, in which we examined the studies conducted in the field of seafarers' education with visual mapping techniques and bibliometric analysis methods, the search results including articles on seafarers' education with the keywords “Maritime education and training” and “Seafarers education and training” from the Web of Science database were analyzed using the Web of Science Core Collection database, and the important countries, journals, universities in the scientific literature in the field of seafarers' education, as well as the citation and relationship networks between these articles were revealed. According to the results of the research; it was seen that a total of 628 publications were made in the field of education of ship people. It is seen that 64% of the studies included in the scope of the research were published in journals and 36% were published in congresses. When the distribution of publications by years is examined, it is seen that the most publications were made in 2018, the countries with the most publications are Peoples r china, the country with the most cited publications is Norway, the journal with the most publications is TRANSNAV, the university with the most publications is Gdynia Maritime University, and the most used keyword is “maritime education and training”. The study provides a road map for researchers who want to study in the field of “training of seafarers” and “maritime education”.
