A retrospective study of the obtratory and psoas signs

Abstract

Obturatory and psoas signs have been studied in 10 of 10 cadavers and retrospectively on 161 pelvic roentgenograms These studies on cadavers have revealed that these signs occur due to not only a single muscle but also neigboring two muscles. According to the results obtained from the analysis of 161 pelvic roengenogram psoas sign was positive in CDH cases and this has not been reported in the literature yet. It was also concluded that the configuration and brodening of this line has significance.
