Comparison of arthrographic findings with operative findings in meniscus lesions

Abstract

In this study, we compared preoperative diagnosis (clinical examination, double –contrast arhrography) with intra-operative findings in 118 patients who had menisectomy between 1983-1987. We found a discondance of 90.29% between pre-and intraopeative findings. The importance of arthorscopy of the knee in clarification of intraaticular abnormalities has also been reviewed.
