Öz

Sheehan diz endopratozlerinin polietilen parçasının her düzlemde bir amortisör etkisinin olması ve fleksiyonda bir rotasyon serbestisinin olması gibi avantajları polietilen parçasının yüksek oranda kırılma ve aşınma tehlikesi gibi bir dezavantajı da beraberinde getirmektedir. Kliniğimizde 1979-1986 yılları arasında ameliyat edilen hastaların komplikasyonları ve bunların tedavilerini sunuyoruz.

The treatment of stemed knee endoprotheses complications

Abstract

The construction of the polyethylene part of Sheehan’s total knee endoprothesis provides advantages Iik shock absorbation in several levels. The advantage is a very low rate of aseptic loosening. The disadvantage is an important rate of damages of this polyaethylene part. We will demonstrate complications and their management in patients of our orthopaedic department from 1979 to 1986.
