Preoperative preparation and postoperative evaluation in total knee arthroplasties

In total knee arthroplasties, we must determine that there ıs no focus of infection preoperatively and expectations must be clearly explained to the patients. Along with standard and Iateral x-rays, weight-bearing orthoroentgenographies should be taken. These radiological investigations are very important in preoperative planning. Authors use various methods for pre-and post-operative evaluation and scoring. In this study, most commonly used systems of clinical and radiological evaluation and scoring are compared. Postoperative care and protocol are mentioned.

Total diz endoprotezlerinde (TDEP) preoperatif hazırlık ve postoperatif değerlendirme

TDEP’lerinde ameliyat öncesi hiç bir enfeksiyon odağı olmadığı tesbit edilmeli ve beklentiler hastaya açıkça izah edilmelidir. Ayrıca standart AP ve Iateral grafiler ile, yük altında ortoröntgenografiler çekilmelidir. Bu çekilecek grafiler preoperatif planlamada çok önemlidir. TDEP ameliyatlarından önce ve sonra hastaların değerlendirilmesi ve puanlaması çeşitli yazarlarca değişik metodlar kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bunların içerisinde en yaygın kulIanılan klinik ve röntgenografik değerlendirme ve puanlama sistemleri birbiri ile karşılaştırılmıştır Ameliyat sonrası bakım ve izlenecek protokol üzerinde durulmuştur.
