Primer repair and reconstrution in lateral ankle instability

Abstract

In this study, 39 cases has been discussed occured because of lateralligaments rupture and diagnosed as lateral ankle instability. Heavy industry and railway workers has constituted the majority of the cases. Tenodesis, by the method of modified Watson-Jones, has been applied to 30 cases having chronic instability and primer repair operation, making end to end ligament repair, has been applied to 9 cases having acute instability. In the acute instability group, within the postoperative 6-24 months follow-up period, instability has been observed at 2 cases having a new travma story. In the other words, in primer repair, 77.8% success has been achieved. Since modified Watson-Jones method provides anterior talofibuler and calcaneofibuler ligament reconstruction. at the applied 30 chronic instability cases, success ratio is 90% within the 6-36 months followup period.

Ayak bileği lateral instabilitesinde primer tamir ve rekonstrüksiyonu

Öz

Bu çalışmada, ayak bileği lateral ligamentlerinin yırtığı sonucu oluşan ve lateral instabilite tanısı konan, 39 olgu tartışıldı. Olguların çoğunluğunu ağır sanayi ve demiryolu işçilerinin oluşturduğu bu çalışmada, 30 kronik instabiliteli olguya modifiye Watson-Jones yöntemi ile tenodez, 9 akut instabiliteli olguya ligament uçları uc uca getirilerek primer tamir yapıldı. Postoperatif 6-24 aylık takip periyodunda akut instabilite grubunda, yeniden travma öyküsü olan 2 olguda instabilite tesbit edildi. Bir diğer deyişle primer tamirde %77.8 oranında başarı elde edildi. Anterior talofibuler ve kalkaneofibuler ligament rekonstrüksiyonunu sağladığı için modifiye Watson-Jones yöntemi uygulanan 30 kronik instabiliteli olguda 6-36 aylık takip süresindeki başarı oranı ise %90 olarak bulunmuştur.
