Posterior interosseous artery flap

Abstract

In this study, a flap designed to cover skin defect of the dorsal hand and first web or to release of the first web space contracture is reported. This flap is raised from the posterior aspect of the forearm and is irrigated by the blood flow of the posterior interosseous artery and its cutaneous branches, Anatomy and surgical technique of the flap were investigated. The procedure was employed in 2 patients with successful results. We beIieve that the procedure has important advantages and with further experience will be used much more frequently.

Bu çalışmada, elin dorsal yumuşak doku kayıplarında ve parmakların birinci aralığının kontraktür veya doku kayıplarında uygulanabilecek bir flep sunuldu. Ön kolun posteriorundan alınan, kan dolaşımı posterior interossöz arter ve bu arterin cilt dalları ile sağlanan flebin anatomisi ve ameliyat tekniği incelendi. 2 olguda uyguIanan ve başarılı sonuç alınan posterior interossöz arter flebinin, bugüne kadar uygulanan yöntemlere oranla önemli avantajları olduğu ve bu konuda deneyim arttıkça sık başvurulan yöntem olacağı kanısına varıldı.
