Traumatic dislocation of the knee

Öz

Traumatic dislocation of the knee is a rare condition. Extensive soft tissue damage and neurovascular injury can be associated with dislocation. Two patients with traumatic dislocation of the knee have been treated in our clinic between 1990-1993. First case is anterior and the second is medial dislocation with popliteal artery and peroneal nerve injuries. Patients have been treated conservatively for ruptured ligaments and results are discussed with the relevant literature.
