Total knee arthroplasty in rheumatoid patients

Abstract

In this study, we report 34 total kneee arthroplasties in 25 rheumatoid patients. 30 knees were followedup for an average of 17.1 months. Average knee score was 28.5 preoperatively 875 postoperatively. Average knee society function score was 20.8 preoperatively, 62.4 postoperatively. Average total rangd of motion increased from 8.3° to 102.9° postoperatively. We recommend the use of cement mixed with radiopaque material to avoid difficulties in the radiographic evaluation of the arthroplasty.
