Medulloblastoma metastasizing to bone: a case report

Abstract

Extraneural metastases of the primary central nervous system neoplasms are extremely rare In literature, there are some articles reporting bone metastases of medulloblastoma, pineablastoma, high grade (III, IV) astrocytoma, and glioblastoma multiforme but the number of cases is limited. The most common central nervous system neoplasm with extraneural metastases is medullablastoma. 43 patients with bone metastases of medullablastoma have been reported in literature. Were reporting one case of medulloblastoma with metastases involving proximal tibia and accentuating that tumors of central nervous system can metastases to bone.
