Prevention of developmental hip dysplasia in Turkey

Öz

In this review, the incidence of developmental hip dysplasia (DDH) in Turkey and in other countries was investigated and prenatal, perinatal and postnatal preventive measures for decreasing the incidence of DDH were summarized. Previous studies in Turkey based on the clinical findings and/or radiological examination showed that the incidence of DDH was %05-%1.5. In Turkey, perinatal and postnatal causes of DDH were thought to be more important.

Öz

Bu döllemede Türkiye ve dünya ülkelerindeki gelişimsel kalça displazisi sıklığı (GKD) gözden geçirilmiş ve GKD'nin sıklığının azaltılması için gerekli prenatal, perinatal ve postnatal önlemler özetlenmiştir. Türkiye'de klinik muayene ve/veya radyolojik bulgulara dayanan önceki araştırmalarda GKD sıklığı %05 ile %1.5 arasında bulunmuştur. Türkiye 'de GKD'nin perinatal ve postnatal nedenlerinin daha önemli olduğu düşünülmüştür.
