Bilateral flexor pollicis longus primary repair - Case report

Abstract

This study reports bilateral laceration of flexor pollicis longus tendon in second zone for the first time. Both flexor pollicis longus tendons were repaired by end-to-end technique. On six year follow-up bowstring deformities were observed in both thumbs although repair of the oblique pulleys were performed during the initial operation. The patient was evaluated according to Buck-Gramcko and result was excellent in right good in left thumb.

İki taraflı fleksor pollisis longus primer tamiri (Olgu Sunumu)

Öz

İkinci zone'da iki taraflı fleksor pollisis longus kesisi primer tamiri ilk kez tanımlanmaktadır. Kesik olan tendonlar primer olarak uçuca dikiş tekniği ile tamir edildi. Hastanın altı yıl sonra yapılan takibinde, oblik pulleylerin dikilmiş olmasına rağmen, her iki başparmakta da bowstring geliştiği görüldü. Buck-Gramcko'ya göre değerlendirdiğimizde, sağda mükemmel, solda ise iyi sonuç alındı.
