Klavikula osteomyeliti: Olgu sunumu

Öz

Sağ omuz ağrısı ve sternoklavikuler eklem lateralinde şişlik ile başvuran 35 yaşında erkek hastada klavikula medial uç osteomyeliti saptandı ve cerrahi tedavi uygulandı. Ameliyat sırasında alınan materyalin patolojik tetkikinde osteomyelit bulguları saptandı, kültüründe ise Staphylococcus aureus üredi ve geniş spektrumlu antibiyoterapi ile tedavi sürdürüldü. Ameliyat sonrası yapılan bir yıllık klinik ve laboratuvar takiplerinde hastanın tamamen düzeldiği görüldü.

A case of clavicular osteomyelitis

Abstract

A thirty-five-year-old male patient presented with complaints of pain on his right shoulder and swelling in the right sternoclavicular joint. A diagnosis of medial clavicular osteomyelitis was made and he underwent surgery. Pathological examination of the intraoperative specimens suggested osteomyelitis and Staphylococcus aureus was cultured. A broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy was instituted. During a follow-up for a year, clinical and laboratory findings were normal.
