Biologic mechanical problems in the loosening of endoprastheses

Öz

A total endoprastheses of the hip, whether it is loosened early or late, confrants the orthopaedists who employ surgical applications with as great problems today as they had previously. The results of an experimental study are presented, while mention is made of the causes of probable loosening in femoral shaft prostheserq attention is drawn here to the relation between the length of the stem of the prosthesis and the optimal connection of this stem with the intramedullary cavity.
