Arthrographic examination in diagnosis and choici of treatment of rotator cuff rupture of the shoulder

Shoulder arthrography is a very useful examination in the tear of the rotator cuff. Arthrography is also very helpful for diagnosis in the partial tear of the rotator-cuff which diagnosis is very difficult clinically. Choice of the treatment is mostly depend on the width and localization of the rotator cuff. Width of the tear and localization of the tear is seen clearly in the arthrograms. In our clinic we performed 32 arthorgrapy in 32 patients who had shoulder diseases. We found 9 incomplete tears and 8 complete tears of the rotator cuff. In this report, we presented results of conservative and surgical treatment of these patients and we tried to explain that arthorgaphy is very hepful radiological examination in the diagnosis of the rotator cuff tears.

Omuz döndürücü kılıf yırtıklarının tanısında ve tedavisinin seçiminde artrografik inceleme

Öz

Omur döndürücü kılıfın yırtıklarının tanısında ve seçilecek tedavinin planlanmasında en faydalı yardımcı teşhis medotu omuzun artrografik tetkikidir. Özellikle klinik olarak abdüksiyon kısıtlanmasının ileri derecede olmadığı kısmi yırtıklarda klinik muayene ve normal filmlerle tanı koymak çok zordur. Artrografik tetkik kılıftaki yırtığın yeri, büyüklüğü hakkında kesin bilgi verdiğinden yapılacak tedavinin seçiminde de önemi vardır. Bu yazıda kliniğimizde omuz şikayetli 32 hastaya uyguladığımız artrografik tetkik sonucu tespit ettiğimiz 8 tam, 9 kısmi yırtıklı hastaya uyguladığımız konservatif ve cerrahi tedavinin sonuçlarını bildirdik ve dördüncü kılıf yartıklarında artrografinin önemini vurgulamaya çalıştık.
