The treatment of congenital clup foot deformity by posteromedial releasing

Öz

Posteromedial release is an effective procedure in the treatment of congenital clup foot deformity. The most adequote age tor the application of this method seems to be between 0,6-2 ages. Before performing the operation the case should be well assessed clinically and roentgenographically. The procedure should be adapted with full compliance to the technic and excessive correction should be avoided.

Öz

Doğuştan çarpık ayağın ameliyatla tedavisinde son zamanlarda en çok kullanılan posteromedial gevşetme tekniğinin kliniğimizde 1975-1980 yılları arasında uygulanan 19 olgudaki sonuçlar gözden geçirildi. Olgular ameliyat öncesi ve sonrası lateral radyografilerle ve ayrıca klinik görünüm ve fonksiyonel bakımdan değerlendirildi. Tek bir girişim olan posteromedial gevşetme ile 1-2 yaşları arasındaki ve daha önce cerrahi tedavi görmemiş olgularda çok iyi sonuç alındığı görüldü.
