Hallux Valgus and indications for Keller's operation in its surgical treatment

Abstract

In this study, late results have been reviewed for 48 cases with the deformity of Hallux Valgus treated by Keller's operation in the Clinic of Orthopaedic and Traumatology of İstanbul Medical School during 1966-1976. Sugical treatment have been performed on 72 feet in these cases. Taking into consideration the data in the literature, attempts have been made to arrive at a definite result by discussing that among various available procedures in the surgical treatmient of the Hallux Valgus deformity, Kelfer's Operation yieids successful results in carefully selected cases upon which this operation is to be applied.

HALLUX VALGUS VE CERRAHİ TEDAVİSİNDE KELLER AMELİYATININ YERİ

Öz

Bu calışmada İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Kliniğinde 1966-1976 yılları arasında Keller ameliyatı ile tedavi edilmiş Hallux Valgus deformitesi 43 olgunun geç sonuçlarına yer verilmiştir. Operatif tedavi bu olgularda 72 ayak üzerine uygulanmıştır. Literatür bilgileri de gözönüne alınarak Hallux valgus deformitesinin cerrahi tedavisinde mevcut çeşitli yöntemler arasında iyi seçilecek uygulamaya alınan olgularda Keller ameliyatının başarılı sonuçlar verdiği tartışma konuşu edilerek belirli bir sonuca varılmıya çalışılmıştır..
