Orthotic approaches for the education of the patient and the family in the treatment of hemophilia

Öz

The supportive treatment of the joints after hemorragie which is usually occured spontaneously or due to a trauma is one of the major treatment technique of the hemophilic children. The goal of this treatment is to decrease the symptoms of the osteoarthritic changes occured in the chronic stage of the arthropathy. In this case study, a Thermoplastic PTB Ankle Foot Orthosis-AFO is manufactured and applied to the right ankle of the patient (8) with hemophly. A, to support the joint mediolaterally and minimize the weight falling over the joint while the patient is conninuing his active daily life. The patient is using this partial weight-bearing orthosis since six months. The symptoms, especially the pain are decreased. He is under control in every three months. The duration of the usage of orthosis is going to be consıdered according to the clinical and radiological findings.

Hemofili tedavisinde hasta ile ailesinin eğitimi ve rehabilitasyonda ortotik yaklaşımlar

Öz

Hemofilik çocuklarda travma sonucu oluşan hemorajinin kronik devrede neden olduğu artritik bulguların azaltılmasında, eklemin bir süre için ortez ile dinlendirilmesi gerekmektedir Aktif hayatına devam ederken, ayak bileğinin medyolateral yönde desteklenebilmesi ve ekleme binen yükün azaltılabilmesi için, sekiz yaşındaki E. A'ya (Hemofili A) Termoplastik PTB ayak bileği ayak ortezi-PTB ABAO (PTB Ankle Foot Orthosis PTB AFO). Hasta altı aydır bu ortezi kullanmaktadır. Şikayetlerinde belirgin bir azalma olmuştur. Hasta halen kontrol altındadır. Ortezi kullanma süresi, klinik ve radyolojik bulgulardaki olumlu değişikliklere göre saptanacaktır.
