14 patients with intertrochanteric fractures were treated with Leinbach hip endoprosthesis between April 1994 and May 1996. 10 of them were female and others were man. The mean age was 74.8 years old. The average follow-up period was 13 months. Merle'd Aubigne functional hip scores were used for evaluation of the patients. 1 patient (%7.1) was classified excellent, 4 patient (%28.5) good, 6 patients (%42.5) fair and 3 patients (%21.4) poor. No serious complication was seen. In this study, we concluded that hemiarthroplasty with Leinbach prosthesis is useful method for osteoporotic elder patients with intertrochanteric fractures.
Mart 1994 ve Mayıs 1996 yılları arasında Anabilim Dalımızda intertrokanrerik kırıklı 14 hasta primer Leinbach parsiyel kalça protezi ile tedavi edildi. Hastaların 10'u kadın, 4'ü erkekli. Ortalama yaş 74.8 idi. Hastaların ortalama takip süresi 13 aydı. Hastaların fonksiyonel sonuçları Merle d' Aubigne kriterlerine göre değerlendirildi. Değerlendirmede l olguda mükemmel (%7.1), 4 olguda iyi (%28.5), 6 olguda orta (%42.8), 3 olguda ise kötü (%21.4) sonuçlar elde edildi. Ciddi komplikasyonla karşılaşılmadı. Sonuç olarak, yaşlı, osteoporotik hastaların intertrokanterik kırık tedavilerinde erken mobilizasyona izin vermesi nedeniyle Leinbach protezi ile parsiyel hemianroplasti uygulamasının iyi bir seçenek olduğu düşünülmüştür.
