A benign chondroblostoma which is a rare primary neoplasm of bone with excellent prognosis is presented. It is believed that instances of it are stili being missed and misdiagnosed because of its complex and peculiar histologic appearence and charecter. A critical survey of literature revealed that 109 benign chondroblastoma cases were reported between 1928-1973. Discussion on the clinical charecter and histogenesis as well as nomenclature are inciuded in this paper.
Benign Chondroblastomanın, klinik, anatomopatolojik ve mikroskopik yönlerinden geniş bir tanımı yapılarak bugüne değin geçirdiği tarihsel evrimine bu konudaki hemen tüm literatür göz önünde tutularak değinildi. Teşhis, tedavi ve prognoza ilişkin çeşitli veriler sunularak, ayrıca bu konuda geniş literatür verilmiştir. Bildirdiğimiz vakadaki özellikler daha önce yayınlananlarla karşılaştırmalı olarak sunulmuştur.
