Talk Flotasyonuna Etki Eden Bazı Değişkenlerin Etkilerinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Talk; jeolojik olarak düşük dereceli metamorfizma sonucu oluşan bir minerallerden birisi olup olup magnezyumca zengin ultramafik kayaçlardan türer. Bu eşsiz mineral; seramik, kozmetik, boya, kağıt, plastik, çatı kaplama ve lastik sanayinin yanı sıra hayvan yemi, polimer ve deterjan üretiminde de kullanılmaktadır. Talk, hidrofobik özelliğinden dolayı hiçbir toplayıcı (kollektör) kullanmadan kolaylıkla yüzebilme yeteneğine de sahiptir. Her ne kadar talkın sadece köpürtücü ile flotasyonu sağlansa da; reaktif olarak toplayıcı, köpürtücü ve bastırıcılar da kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Sivas yöresinden temin edilen talkın flotasyon ile zenginleştirilmesinde etkili olan parametrelerden pH, toplayıcı, köpürtücü, bastırıcı türü ve miktarlarının verim üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Flotasyon deneylerinde toplayıcı olarak gazyağı; köpürtücü olarak ise çamyağı, flotanol B, montanol 800, aerofroth 73 ve aerofroth 88 kullanılmıştır. Bastırıcı olarak dekstrin ve nişasta araştırılmıştır. Toplayıcı cinsinin zenginleştirmeye olan etkisinde; gazyağının iyi sonuç vermediği görülmüştür. Köpürtücü olarak aerofroth 88 en iyi sonucu verirken; talkın bastırılması için en etkin reaktif dekstrin olarak belirlenmiştir.

Investigation of Effects of Some Variables on Talc Flotation

Öz

Talc is one of low grade metamorphic minerals geologically and derive from ultramafic rocks enriching Mg. In addition to industries of ceramic, cosmetic, paint, paper, plastic and roofing, this unique mineral are also used in production of animal feeds, polymer and detergent. Talc has also easily floating talent due to its hydrophobic feature without using any collector. In spite of the fact that flotation of talc is only provided by frother; collectors, frothers and depressants are used as reactive. In this study; flotation effects of talc samples gathering from Sivas region were investigated considering that pH values, types and amounts of collector, frother, and depressants as an effective parameters. Kerosene as collector; pine oil, flotanol B, montanol 800, aerofroth 73 and aerofroth 88 as frothers were used in flotation experiments. The effect of dextrine, starch as depressants were also studied in detail. Kerosene on benefication of collector effect were observed no satisfactory results. It is determined that aerofrothe 88 give best result as frother, the most reactive depressor is also dextrine.
