Öz

Bu çalışma Çin Devlet Başkanı Şi Cinping’in döneminde (2013-) Ortadoğu bölgesi ile Çin’in ilişkilerini ele almaktadır. Makale, Çin’in Ortadoğu ile geliştirdiği ekonomik, diplomatik ve enerji temelli angajmanların, bölgenin siyasi ve ekonomik dinamikleri üzerindeki etkilerini ve bu etkileşimin sınırlarını analiz etmektedir. Kuşak ve Yol Girişimi (KYG), enerji güvenliği, ticaret ve altyapı yatırımları çerçevesinde değerlendirilen Ortadoğu-Çin ilişkileri, Ortadoğu ülkelerinin dış politika ortaklarını çeşitlendirme stratejisi ve ekonomik iş birliği arayışları bağlamında ele alınmaktadır. Çalışma, Çin’in Ortadoğu’daki varlığının mevcut ilişkiler ağı içerisinde büyük ölçüde ekonomi ve enerji odaklı bir etkileşim sunduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda makale, Ortadoğu-Çin ilişkilerinin, bölge ülkeleri açısından sınırlı fakat büyüyen bir iş birliği alanı oluşturduğunu savunmaktadır.

The Middle East on the Threshold of Multipolarity: Evolving Relations with China and Regional Implications Post-2013

Öz

This study examines the relations between the Middle East and China during the era of Chinese President Xi Jinping (2013-). The article analyzes the impacts of China’s economic, diplomatic, and energy-based engagements with the Middle East on the region’s political and economic dynamics, as well as the limitations of this interaction. Evaluated within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), energy security, trade, and infrastructure investments, Middle East-China relations are addressed in the context of Middle Eastern countries' strategies to diversify foreign policy partners and their pursuit of economic cooperation. The study reveals that China's presence in the Middle East offers an interaction largely focused on economy and energy within existing networks of relations. In this context, the article argues that Middle East-China relations constitute a limited but growing area of cooperation for the countries of the region.
