USING AREAS AND ENSURING ADVANTAGES OF PLYWOOD PANELS S OF PLYWOOD PANELS

Öz

Plywood which is a wood based panel has many usage areas. Usage areas of plywood panels have changed among countries according to economic, sociocultural and tradition of countries. The plywood panels that are especially used as ground, wall and roof covering have supplied important advantages to building. The most important advantage is being more resistance of buildings which are covered the plywood panels to lateral forces such as earthquake and wind. It was determined that the dead rates
were lesser in the earthquake disaster in the countries which have used plywood panels in their buildings for these objectives. It is known that our country is an earthquake country. For this reason, usage of plywood in buildings is very important for our country as well as
other earthquake countries.

KONTRPLAKLARIN YAPI MAKSATLI KULLANIM ALANLARI VE SAĞLADIĞI AVANTAJLAR

Öz

Kontrplak pek çok kullanım alanı bulunan önemli bir odun kökenli levha ürünüdür. Kontrplağın değerlendirildiği alanlar, ülkelerin ekonomik ve sosyo kültürel yapısına, geleneklerine göre ülkeler arasında farklılık gösterebilmektedir. Özellikle yapı endüstrisinde zemin, duvar ve çatı kaplamalarında değerlendirilebilen kontrplak, bu tür alanlarda yapıya önemli avantajlar sağlamaktadır. Bu avantajların en önemlisi; kontrplak ile kaplanmış duvar ve çatılara sahip  yapıların, deprem ve rüzgar yükü gibi yanal yüklenmelere karşı daha dirençli olmasıdır. Kontrplağın bu amaçla değerlendirildiği ülkelerde meydana gelen deprem felaketlerinde can kaybının çok daha az olduğu belirtilmektedir. Ülkemizin bir deprem ülkesi olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu nedenle kontrplağın yapı maksatlı değerlendirilmesi, diğer deprem ülkeleri için olduğu kadar ülkemiz için de önemlidir.
