Öz

Sepsis her türlü mikroorganizma ve/veya onların ürünleri ile ortaya

çıkabilen kompleks inflamatuar bir hastalıktır. Sepsis ve septik şok

tanımı, en son 2001 de yapılmış, epidemiyoloji, patobiyoloji ve sepsis

yönetimindeki değişikliklerin yeniden gözden geçirilmesi gerekmiştir.

Sepsis 3.0’ın erken tanıma, farkındalık ve zamanında sepsis yönetimi

sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
