Zeki Velidî Togan, a historian, Turkologist and political man, comes from an educated family. Togan, who influenced a significant part of the Turkish world with his ideas, played an important role on the political stage at the beginning of the XX century, when Russia was grappling with successive waves of revolution. Velidî once served as the representative of Ufa Muslims in the Russian State Duma. Togan, one of the leaders in the struggle for independence of Bashkortadistan, the land of his birth during the Bolshevik Revolution that erupted at the time, became the war minister of the Bashkirt Autonomous government and then the head of the government. After the nod movement failed to reach the desired result, Togan, who moved to the territory of Turkistan and joined the Basmaci movement, was appointed as the head of the National Union of Turkistan. However, he left Turkistan and went to Iran during this period when the Bolsheviks gathered their strength and succeeded against any independence movement. The next phase of Togan's life was spent constantly relocating until the period when Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver invited him to Turkey. Togan moved from Iran to Afghanistan and then to Turkey and then to Europe, and continued his scientific research without slowing down during this period. Togan came to Turkey in 1925 with an official invitation and became a citizen of the Republic of Turkey in the same year. In 1927, he took the İstanbul Darulfünun to the historical professorial chair. Togan played an important role in bringing Barthold, a Russian songwriter whom he met in St. Petersburg in 1915 who saved him from enlisting, to Turkey and was his interpreter at conferences in Istanbul. Togan left Turkey for criticism of the Turkish History Book prepared in 1930 and went to Vienna. Togan worked at the German universities for a period and later returned to Turkey and was convicted of his political identity. Togan, who had to carry out his political identity and his scholarly identity together during his lifetime, has written numerous works. Togan, who contributed to the unearthing of many important works during the library studies he carried out in every country he went to, has prepared many works that are important for Turkish history. From a Tarihte Usul methodological point of view in history, Umumi Türk Tarihine Giriş is still used as a bedside book in terms of its in-depth handling of Turkish history before and after Islam, while Bugünkü Türkili Türkistan ve Yakın Tarihi are the most important source works about the history of Turkistan. Zeki Velidî Togan had Abdulkadir Inan with him on all his successive trips. During his time in Turkey, Togan published Yeni Türkistan magazine with Abdulkadir Inan and published many articles there. Togan has written numerous articles between 1928 and 1932, but this study includes examples of his writings published in Türkistan Mecmuası, Yeni Türkistan and Atsız Mecmua. The articles mentioned in the study were transcribed from Ottoman Turkish, listed chronologically, and Togan's intellectual world between the years 1928-1932 was tried to be revealed through these articles.
