Öz

Japonya ve Rusya arasındaki anlaşmazlık adaların silahlanmasına neden oldu. Araştırmada temel olarak adada bulunan silahlar ele alındı ve anlaşmazlığın tarihsel olarak akışı anlatıldı. Anlaşmazlığın iç siyasette ve dış siyasette kullanıldığından bahsedildi. Kuril Adalarının stratejik, ekonomik ve ulusal imaj bağlamlarındaki önemine değinildi. Japonya ve Rusya’nın Kuril Adalarındaki varlıkları karşılaştırıldı.
