FABRICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MULTI NANODISC PLATINUM ELECTRODES BY LASER PULLING METHOD

Öz

In this study, multiple nanodisc platinum electrodes were produced using the laser drawing technique to bring together multiple microwires in a single structure. The produced electrodes were characterized using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Ferrocene dissolved in acetonitrile has been used as a redox mediator due to its reversible electron transfer properties. Voltammetric responses showed the steady-state behavior characteristic of the nanoelectrodes, and the obtained current values were used to estimate the effective electrode radius. According to the cyclic voltammetric results, the steady-state currents of the dual and triple platinum nanoelectrodes were approximately two and three times higher, respectively, than that of the single platinum nanoelectrode. SEM analysis confirmed the formation of multiple nanodisc structures with uniform distribution. The developed method provides a simple and reproducible approach for fabricating multiple nanoelectrode systems with potential applications in electrochemical sensing and nanoelectrochemistry.
