Öz

Bu çal man n amac iskeletsel S n f III anomaliye sahip bireylerin Çenelik ile tedavisinde Lingual ark uygulamas n n dento-alveolar yap lar üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Ara t rmam z n materyalini, alt çene prognatisinden kaynaklanan s n f III anomalisine sahip pubertal büyüme at l m henüz ba lamam 30 bireyin lateral sefalometrik filmleri olu turmaktad r. Hastalar n15 tanesine lingual ark ve çenelik uygulan rken, geri kalan 15 hastaya yaln zca çenelik uygulanm t r. Grup içi de;i iklikleri belirlemek için e le tirilmi t testi uygulanm t r. Gruplar aras farkl l klar belirlemek için ise farklar üzerine Student’s t testi uygulanm t r.Her iki uygulamada da büyümenin etkisiyle üst çene öne do;ru hareket ederken alt çenenin a a; ya ve arkaya do;ru rotasyon yapt ; tespit edilmi tir. >ki grubun kar la t r lmas nda ise çenelik grubunda L1-NB ve IMPA aç lar nda azalma oldu;u bu azalman nL1-NB aç s nda 0.05 düzeyinde IMPA da ise 0.001 düzeyinde istatistiksel olarak önemli oldu;u tespit edilmi tir. Sonuçlar iddetli olmayan S n f III vakalarda lingual ark nistenilen iskeletsel düzeltmenin sa;lamas nda faydalolabilece;ini göstermi tir
