FARKLI ENERJİ YOĞUNLUĞUNDAKİ ER:YAG LAZER İLE PÜRÜZLENDİRİLEN DENTİN YÜZEYİNE KOR KOMPOZİTİNİN BAĞLANMA DAYANIMININ İNCELENMESİ
Öz
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı enerji yoğunluğundaki Erbium:yittrium-aluminum-garnet (Er:YAG) lazer ile pürüzlendirilen dentin ile kor kompoziti arasındaki makaslama bağlanma dayanımını değerlendirmektir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: 50 adet sağlam daimi alt 1. azı dişinin oklüzal yüzleri aşındırılarak düzgün bir dentin yüzeyi elde edildi ve uygulanacak yüzey işlemlerine göre rastgele 5 gruba ayrıldı (n=10); kontrol: herhangi bir yüzey işlemi uygulanmadı, Grup L1: 100 mJ Er:YAG lazer uygulandı, Grup L2: 150 mJ Er:YAG uygulandı, Grup L3: 200 mJ Er:YAG uygulandı ve Grup L4: 300 mJ Er:YAG lazer uygulandı. Yüzey işlemlerini takiben her gruptan birer örnek taramalı elektron misroskobu (SEM) kullanılarak incelendi.

EVALUATION OF THE BOND STRENGTH OF CORE COMPOSITE TO ER:YAG PRETREATED DENTIN SURFACE WITH VARIOUS ENERGY DENSITIES
ABSTRACT
Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of pretreated dentin with various Erbium:yittrium-aluminum-garnet (Er:YAG) laser energy densities to core composite.
Material and methods: Fifty intact inferior permanent first molar teeth were ground to produce a flat dentin surface and randomly divided into 5 groups according to the surface treatments (n=10); control: no surface treatment, group L1: 100 mJ Er:YAG laser irradiation, group L2: 150 mJ Er:YAG laser irradiation, group L3: 200 mJ Er:YAG laser irradiation, group L4: 300 mJ Er:YAG laser irradiation. Following the surface treatments, one specimen of each group were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Then, universal bonding agent was applied to all treated dentin surface and core composite was built up by using a 2×3 mm cylindrical teflon mold. All specimens were subjected to thermal cycling before the shear bond strength test by universal testing machine. The data were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD tests for the comparison of mean shear bond strength values. Results were considered significant for α=0.05.
Results: Group L1 (10.48 ± 1.58 MPa) and group L2 (9.76 ± 1.01 MPa) showed significantly higher shear bond strength values than the other groups (p<0.05). Melting and surface cracks was observed in group L4.
Conclusion: The optimal Er:YAG laser energy densities for enhanced bonding of core composite to dentine surface is 100 mJ and 150 mJ.
