Öz

Diş gelişimi, erken embriyonik dönemde Günümüzde periodontitisin multi-faktöriyel bir hastalık olduğu net bir şekilde bilinmektedir. Diş plak biofilmi birincil etiyolojik faktör olup spesifik periodontal patojenleri içerir. Ayrıca çeşitli sistemik hastalıklar, bazı genetik polimorfizmler, kişinin sosyo-ekonomik veya eğitim durumu, sigara içimi ve psikolojik stres gibi riskler ve yatkınlıklar periodontitis ile bağlantılı bulunmuştur. Kronik stresin; immün yanıt üzerinde yaygın olarak, olumsuz etki oluşturduğu konak ve parazitler arasında dengesizliğe yol açtığı, sonuç olarak periodontal yıkıma neden olduğu düşünülmektedir. Stres, nekrotizan periodontitis için ikincil bir etiyolojik faktör olarak gösterilmiştir. Bu derlemede emosyonel stresin değerlendirilmiştir. periodontal hastalık üzerine etkileri
