Öz

Bu makale polimeraz zincir reaksiyonunun (Polymerase Chain Reaction-PCR) endodontide kullan m n , endodontik mikroorganizmalar n varl 6 n n ve prevalanslar n n belirlenmesinde sa6lad 6 avantajlargözden geçirmektedir. Kültür yöntemiyle üretilemeyen mikroorganizmalar n 16S rRNA bölgelerinin PCR kullan larak ço6alt lmas moleküler mikrobiyolojide ç 6 raçm t r. PCR kültür yöntemlerine göre daha hassas, özgül, h zl d r ve daha kesin sonuçlar sa6lar. Bu metodlar n yerinde kullan m , endodontik hastal klar nnedenlerinin belirlenmesine, anla lmas na ve tedavi stratejilerinin geli tirilmesine önemli katk lar sa6layacakt r
