LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPHY APPLICATIONS IN PERIODONTOLOGY

Öz

Low level laser therapy also known as photo biostimulation is a photobiological technique based on the application of the laser beam to viable tissue at milliwatts level, resulting in accelerated wound healing in the applied area. The aim of this paper is to critically review and discuss the currently available literature on the application and effects of low level laser therapy in periodontal treatment

Öz

Foto biyositümulasyon olarak da adlandırılan düşük doz lazer tedavisi miliwattlar seviyesinde lazer ışınının canlı dokuya uygulanması prensibine dayanan, uygulanan bölgede yara iyileşmesini hızlandıran fotobiyolojik bir yöntemdir. Bu derlemenin amacı düşük doz lazer tedavisinin periodontal tedavide kullanımı ve etkileri üzerine günümüze kadar literatürde yer alan mevcut çalışmaları dökümante etmek ve çalışma sonuçlarını tartışmaktır.
