Öz

Plazma hücreli gingivitis, dişeti bağ dokusunda yoğun plazma hücresi infiltrasyonu, sıklıkla mukogingival birleşime uzanan sınırları belirgin eritematöz, ödematöz dişeti ile karakterize olan dişetinin nadir görülen benign bir durumudur. Bu durum bazen aşırı duyarlılık reaksiyonu olarak da düşünülebilir. Klinik olarak küçük bir travma ile kanayan, dişetinin difüz, eritematöz ve papiller lezyonu olarak görülür. İyi bir ağız hijyeninin sağlanması ve konvansiyonel periodontal tedavinin uygulanması lezyonların iyileşmesine pek yardımcı olamamaktadır. Lezyonlar cerrahi olmayan periodontal tedavi ile birlikte, alerjen kaynağın tanımlanması ve bu alerjen kaynaktan kaçınılması ile tedavi edilebilir. Bu olgu sunumlarında, 18, 22 ve 37 yaşlardaki hastalar dişetlerinde kanama ve kızarıklık nedeni ile kliniğimize başvurdular. Faz I periodontal tedavi ve oral hijyen motivasyonundan 1 hafta sonra dişetlerinde bariz eritem mevcuttu. Alınan biyopsi örneklerinin histopatolojik analizi sonucu plazma hücreli gingivitis teşhisi kondu. Plazma hücreli gingivitise neden olan allerjenlerin ortadan kaldırılması sonucu dişetlerinde tam iyileşme gözlendi.

PLASMA CELL GINGIVITIS: CASE SERIES

Öz

Plasma cell gingivitis is a rare benign condition of the gingiva of unknown etiology characterized by demarcated erythematous and edematous gingiva often extending to the mucogingival junction and a heavy plasma cell infiltration into the gingival connective tissue. This is sometimes considered as a hypersensitive reaction. It presents clinically as a diffuse, erythematous and papillary lesion of the gingiva, which frequently bleeds with minimal trauma. Providing a good oral hygiene and conventional periodontal therapy are not of much help. The lesion can be treated by identifying and avoiding the source of the allergen along with nonsurgical periodontal therapy. In this case reports 18,22 and 37 years old patients referred to our clinic because of gingival bleeding and erythema. Apparent erythema was still seen in gingiva 1 week after Phase I periodontal treatment and oral hygiene motivation. Plasma cell gingivitis was diagnosed after histopathologic analysis of biopsied tissues. Complete gingival healing was observed after removal of allergens causing plasma cell gingivitis.
