PULPA HASSASİYET TESTLERİ: DERLEME

Öz

Klinik uygulamalar esnasında teşhis koyarken zor aşamalardan biri pulpa durumunun net olarak belirlenmesidir. Hassasiyet testleri pulpa hastalıklarının teşhisinin önemli ve temel bileşenlerindendir. Pulpanın hastalık evresinin belirlenmesinin yanı sıra hastanın belirttiği semptomların arttırılması sureti ile ağrıyan dişin tespitinde kolaylık sağlarlar. Ancak bu testler pulpanın damar desteğini değil sinirsel cevabını değerlendirdikleri için pulpal durum hakkında sadece endirekt bilgi verirken, yanlış pozitif ve negatif algılara neden olabilmektedirler. Bu derlemenin amacı güncel literatür bilgilerin kapsamlı olarak incelenmesi sureti ile klinisyenlere pulpa hassasiyet testleri hakkında güncel bilgiler sağlamaktır.

Öz

One of the greatest diagnostic challenges in clinical practice is the accurate assessment of pulp status. A major, and essential, part of the diagnostic process for pulp disease is the use of pulp sensibility tests. When diagnosing pulp pain, these tests can be used to reproduce the symptoms reported by the patient to diagnose the diseased tooth as well as the disease state. However, a major shortcoming with these tests is that they only indirectly provide an indication of the state of the pulp by measuring a neural response rather than the vascular supply, so both false positive and false negative results can occur. The aim of this paper is to provide the clinician with a contemporary information about the pulp sensibility testing methods by detailed investigation of recent literature
