Atypical odontalgia is a chronic pain disorder without any obvious clinical and radiological pathology at the site of pain. The pain is usually dull and continuous. Pain initiates mostly after common dental treatments performed by dentists. Etiology, diagnosis criteria and management of atypical odontagia have not been clarified yet. Present review focused to emphasis that dentists should avoid further invasiv treatments when presence of ongoing tooth pain in spite of carrying out all known dental treatments
