Abstract

The purpose of this study is to research the BE potential and its economic impacts in TRA1 Region. For this purpose, a field research has been carried out using 952 survey forms in TRA1 Region for 2013, and the data obtained as a result of the field research has been subjected to statistical analyses. According to the results of the analysis, both animal-and plant-derived total economic BE potential of TRA1 Region is 4,778 Tonne Petroleum Equivalent-TPE. 56 % of BE can be generated in Erzurum, 27,2 % in Erzincan, and 16,8 % in Bayburt. In addition, the most important three impacts on the local economy of BE production in TRA1 Region are found to include additional revenue growth, employment increase and increase in soil fertility. Consequently, it has been found out that TRA1 Region has a potential for BE, and that production of BE suitable for that potential will positively contribute to local economy.

Biyokütle Enerjisi Potansiyeli ve Ekonomik Etkileri: TRA1 Bölgesi Üzerine Bir Saha Araştırması

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı TRA1 Bölgesi’nde (Erzurum-Erzincan-Bayburt) Biyokütle Enerjisi (BE) potansiyelini ve ekonomik etkilerini tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla 2013 yılı için TRA1 Bölgesi’nde 952 anket formu kullanılarak bir saha araştırması yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler istatistiki analizlere tabi tutulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına göre TRA1 Bölgesi’nde hayvansal ve bitkisel kaynaklı toplam ekonomik BE potansiyeli 4,778 Ton Eşdeğeri Petrol-TEP’tir. BE’nin % 56’sı Erzurum’da, % 27,2’si Erzincan’da ve % 16,8’i Bayburt’ta üretilebilecek düzeydedir. Ayrıca TRA1 Bölgesi’nde BE üretiminin yerel ekonomi üzerindeki en önemli üç etkisinin; ilave gelir artışı, istihdam artışı ve toprak verimliliğinin artması şeklinde olacağı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, TRA1 Bölgesi’nde BE potansiyelinin varolduğu ve bu potansiyele uygun BE üretiminin yerel ekonomiye olumlu katkıda bulunacağı tespit edilmiştir
