Abstract

This work attempts humor’s potential of creating opposite statements and using style of local elements in the example context of a humor magazine published in Erzurum. Humor, put forwarded as an opposition statement form against dominant classes as an art of satire, is observed that how it is turned into humor texts and how an opposition statmenent is created related to the experiences of social, political and economical happenings in Erzurum. In the research, it is focused on 148 issues which can be reached in archives out of 327, published until July 2015. Content analysis tecnique is used to determine the local elements and draw the content map. In each category, some definite examples are examined with descriptive analysis in order to explain the characteristics of the magazine to comment on potential of creating critical opposition statement and to exhibit the political attitude. As the result of the evaluations, it is understood that mostly mayors, senators and other government managers are processed in the magazine. Approach techniques of the processed subjects, use of pictures, drawings and words take a serious stand related to current social-economical and political situations and in this sense it can be clearly seen that magazine adopts a language that can create opposition statement. It is determined that Fırfırik magazine is not only an entertainment medium but also gain importance as a satire and campaign form against power

Mizahta Yerel Unsurların Kullanımı ve Toplumsal Eleştiri Söyleminin Geliştirilmesi: Erzurum’da Yayımlanan Fırfırik Dergisi Örneği / The Use of Local Components in Humour and Development of Social Criticism Discourse: In the Case of Fırfırik Magazıne Publi

Öz

Özet: Bu çalışma mizahın muhalefet söylemi oluşturma potansiyelini ve yerel unsurları kullanma
biçimini Erzurum’da yayınlanan Fırfırik adlı mizah dergisi örneği bağlamında konu edinmiştir.
Mizahın, bir hiciv sanatı olarak egemen sınıflara karşı ortaya çıkan muhalefet söylemi biçiminde,
ön plana çıkarıldığı bu çalışmada, Erzurum’daki toplumsal, siyasal ve ekonomik olaylara ilişkin
yaşananların mizah metinlerine dönüştürülerek nasıl bir muhalefet söylemi oluşturulduğu incelenmiştir.
Araştırmada derginin 2015 Temmuz ayına kadar çıkan toplam 327 sayısının sadece arşivlerde
ulaşılabilen 148’ine odaklanılmış, yerel unsurları belirleyebilmek ve muhteva haritasını çıkarabilmek
için içerik çözümlemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca derginin özelliklerini açıklayabilmek,
eleştirel muhalefet söylemi oluşturma potansiyeli üzerinde yorum yapabilmek ve politik tutumunu
ortaya koymak amacıyla her bir kategorideki belli başlı örnekler betimleyici/tanımlayıcı analizle
irdelenmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda dergide daha çok belediye başkanları, milletvekilleri
ve diğer kamu yöneticilerinin işlendiği anlaşılmıştır. Ele alınan konulara ilişkin yaklaşım
biçimlerinin, kullanılan sözcük, çizgi ve fotoğrafların mevcut sosyo-ekonomik ve politik duruma
ilişkin ciddi bir eleştirel tavır aldığı ve bu bağlamda derginin muhalefet söylemi oluşturabilecek bir
dili benimsediği görülmüştür. Fırfırik Dergisi’nin bu yönüyle yalnızca bir eğlence aracı değil, bir
hiciv ve iktidara karşı mücadele biçimi alanı olarak önem kazandığı tespit edilmiştir.
