Aims:: This study aims to examine the relationship between sleep hygiene and oupational balance in university students living in different dormitory conditions. It was emphasized that sleep hygiene is an important factor affecting oupational balance and the role of environmental factors on this process. Method: The study is a cross-sectional survey study conducted between April and May 2024. A total of 129 volunteer university students participated in the study and data were collected through online questionnaires. Sleep hygiene and occupational balance were assessed using the Sleep Hygiene Index (SHI) and the Occupational Balance Questionnaire (OBSQ). IBM SPSS 25.0 software was used for data analysis. Results: 56.6% of the participants were female and 43.4% were male. The proportion of students staying in dormitories in the city center (83.7%) was higher than in rural areas. Male students had poorer sleep hygiene and oculomotor balance compared to females. In addition, variables such as dormitory conditions, environmental factors and gender were found to have significant effects on sleep hygiene and oupational balance. Conclusion: The study showed that sleep hygiene and environmental factors affect students' oculomotor balance. The results suggest that developing sleep hygiene trainings, environmental regulations, and time management programs can improve students' daily lives.
