İKLİM DEĞİŞİKLİĞİNİN ERGEN KIZLAR VE GENÇ KADINLARIN CİNSEL VE ÜREME SAĞLIĞI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ

Öz

İklim değişikliği, günümüzün en büyük küresel sağlık tehditlerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Çevresel bozulmalar, doğal afetler ve göç gibi iklim değişikliği ile ilişkili olaylar, bireylerin fiziksel, psikolojik ve sosyal sağlık durumlarını olumsuz etkilemektedir. Bu etkiler özellikle ergen kızlar ve genç kadınlar gibi savunmasız gruplar üzerinde daha belirgin bir şekilde hissedilmektedir. Cinsel ve üreme sağlığı, bu grupların yaşam kalitesini doğrudan etkileyen kritik bir alan olmakla birlikte, iklim değişikliğinin yarattığı sağlık riskleri arasında genellikle göz ardı edilmektedir. Bu derleme, iklim değişikliğinin ergen kızlar ve genç kadınların cinsel ve üreme sağlığı üzerindeki etkilerini ele almayı amaçlamakta; bu etkilerle başa çıkmada uygulanabilecek stratejik yaklaşımları tartışmaktadır. İlgili literatür doğrultusunda, bu grupların karşı karşıya kaldığı riskler, sağlık hizmetlerine erişimdeki engeller ve sosyal eşitsizlikler detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir.

The Effects of Climate Change on the Sexual and Reproductive Health of Adolescent Girls and Young Women

Öz

Climate change is recognized as one of the most significant global health threats of our time. Environmental degradation, natural disasters, and migration, closely linked to climate change, negatively impact individuals' physical, psychological, and social health. These effects are particularly pronounced among vulnerable groups, such as adolescent girls and young women. Sexual and reproductive health, a critical area that directly affects the quality of life for these groups, is often overlooked among the health risks posed by climate change. This review aims to address the impact of climate change on the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls and young women. It discusses strategic approaches to cope with these effects. The risks faced by these groups, barriers to accessing healthcare services, and social inequalities are examined in detail based on relevant literature.
