Öz

Bu makalenin konusu, Birleşmiş Milletler Kalkınma Programı’nın (UNDP-United Nations Development Programme) Sahra Altı Afrika’da kadın merkezli kalkınma politika ve uygulamalarıdır.
Sahra Altı Afrika’da kadın ve kalkınma konularını aynı eksende buluşturma gayesi ile kaleme alınan bu makale, UNDP’nin politika ve uygulamalarının bölgede kadınların hayatına ne ölçüde dokunduğunu incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada ortaya konulan temel sav, UNDP tarafından Sahra Altı Afrikalı kadınların hayatına dokunmayı hedefleyen ve söylem düzeyinde öne
sürülen politika ve stratejilerin, eylem düzeyinde proje ve uygulamalara aynı ölçüde yansımadığıdır. Sahra Altı Afrika’da kadınların kalkınma sorunları literatür taraması yolu ile ortaya konulmaktadır. UNDP’nin etkinliği ve verimliliği belirlenen sorunlar çerçevesinde analiz edilmektedir.
