This study was conducted to assess the water quality of the Baltacı Stream, located in the Hayrat district of Trabzon province. Water samples were collected from two different stations and analyzed in terms of various physicochemical parameters. The examined parameters included pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), total hardness, calcium, magnesium, and temperature. The findings are crucial for evaluating the potential impacts of hydroelectric power plants on water quality. The analyses revealed that the pH values were measured as 7.8 at Station 1 and 7.74 at Station 2. The dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined to be 8.53 mg/L and 8.44 mg/L, respectively. The total hardness was recorded as 87.24 mg CaCO₃/L at Station 1, while it decreased to 57.65 mg CaCO₃/L at Station 2. Water temperature measurements indicated values of 11°C at Station 1 and 13°C at Station 2. The results suggest that although certain variations in water quality were observed in the Baltacı Stream, these changes were not statistically significant.
