Yabancı Dil Öğretiminde Kaygı Üzerine Yapılan Çalışmaların İncelenmesi

Öz

Yabancı dil öğreniminde yapılan çalışmalar, uygulamalı dilbilimde yabancı dil kaygısının çok önemli bir alan olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Dil öğrenimi, okuma, yazma, konuşma ve dinleme gibi dört temel becerinin geliştirilmesini içerdiğinden, farklı becerilerin gelişiminde kaygının rolü araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışma ikinci / yabancı dil öğrenimi alanındaki kaygı olgusunu inceleyen literatürü gözden geçirmektedir. Nitel verilerinin toplanması sürecinde doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu incelemenin ana teması, merkezi bir yapı veya ihmal edilebilir bir unsur olmasına bakılmaksızın, ikinci / yabancı dil öğrenimi ve kaygının karşılıklı etkileşimidir. Bu çalışmada kaygının farklı tanımları verildikten sonra, kaygıyı ölçmek için kullanılan ölçekler ve bunun diğer duyuşsal faktörlerle ilişkisi ve dil kaygısının nedenleri ve etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.
